Three simple words...
Sometimes it’s the little things that mean the most or strike us in profound ways. The other day I was talking to my photo editor and product photographer about a tight deadline for a high-profile client (by the way, if you are a Photography by Misty client you are considered high profile). It would be an understatement to say I was a little-more-than concerned with all of the stipulations about the processing and delivering and the very short timeline in which these images needed to be out the door and on their way to North Carolina.
Justin, a man of few expressions and a reserved, yet worth-the-wait smile, monotonically replied, “I’ve got you.” With the exception of “I love You,” I am not sure three simple words have ever meant so much to me. All of my worries instantly left my mind. Nothing more needed to be said, and, as promised, the final images and proof sheets were edited, processed, traveled and were delivered from Plano, Texas, to Charlotte, NC, in less than 18 hours.
Since that day, I’ve thought a lot about this simple phrase, realizing that’s exactly what we do at Photography by Misty. We deliver the same level of comfort when you are beyond stressed about updating your LinkedIn headshot or having your family portraits taken at one of Plano’s outstanding parks . Afterall, it would be easier to just stick with the one donning fewer or finer wrinkles (a bit delusional, my dear, but certainly easier). Don’t worry, “We’ve got you.” From the big things like relaxing in front of the ever-invasive 70-200mm lens to creating just the right angle to minimize multiple chins, we at Photography by Misty have got you covered. Think of us as your mirror, we straighten necklaces, eliminate hair webs across shoulders and lint roll for those whose furry friends take weekend rides in the car.
We care about our clients and they appreciate the level of care and concern. We get thanked daily for doing our job. Why? It should be expected, however those expectations get lost and forgotten because it is oftentimes rare for people to do what they are suppose to do. Oh, but when they do, it is a fabulous feeling.
What words or actions make you feel comforted, less stressed, love, appreciated and/or respected?
