First Impression through Product Photography
A side hustle here, a side hustle there. Everyone nowadays seems to have a side hustle. What do I have to say about it (in case anyone was wondering), “It’s about damn time, America.”
A client of mine from Spain, moved to the states, played for FC Dallas, ran a national soccer coaching business, owned a sodding service and was working on a third entrepreneurial endeavor the last time we had a family session. Whew! Just typing that was almost enough to make me want to take a nap.
“Why,” I asked. “Don’t you have enough on your plate?”
“Because, I live in America, and I can!” he responded. “I’m just shocked Americans don’t cash in on or even recognize their opportunities.”
Most may consider millenials and the Gen Zers lazy, late, unmotivated, yet 49% of Americans between the ages of 18 and 35 have a side hustle, according to the on-line resource Fortune. Now, who’s lazy, My Friends?
Well, regardless, the point is if you’re going to have a side hustle, do it right or it ain’t going to last. Anyone can have an Amazon Store or an Etsy site (like you see below) to sell their wares. However, even if Etsy or Amazon would allow poor quality images, which I know for a fact Amazon will not, poorly-lit, bad-angeled photography is perceived as cheap products and services. And for a good reason, too. If you aren’t motivated to have an appealing on-line image, why should consumers think your products or services would be any different?
Our team of experts, product photographers Jenny and Justin, are here to help you turn that side hustle into a full-time gig by offering quality images to accompany the description of your offerings. And the super great news? It doesn’t matter if your biz is located in Dallas (where we call home) or Seattle, it’s product photography. No doubt, we’d love to see your smiling face, but thanks to places like the UPS Store, we can get your needs met.
So go ahead, schedule a time to door-drop or send us a box, filled with your dream products. It is thrilling to us that you are making your dreams come true doing something you love. We are enamored with the fact we get to do what we are passionate about and make money, too. And we feel honored to aid others in doing the same for Plano and Austin-based businesses alike. We can even pair you up with a writer, Nancy Baldwin who is so incredible, people call her a word wizard.
Although a picture is worth a thousand words, verbal descriptions are almost as imperative. I used to get the Coldwater Creek (check them out now for the cutest embroidered jeans ever) catalog, and between the fantastic product photography and the detail oriented verbiage, they could convince me to buy just about anything. Granted, they have high quality goods to back it up. However, if you’re working an extra income you, too, are making sure it’s done right. The images and wording are just to get attention headed your way.
You can do all this yourself, of course. And, if you have the extra time and know exactly how to achieve what your on-line marketing partners require, knock yourself out. If you get stuck or would rather not mess with, we’ve got you.
Also, feel free to drop us a line here in DFW and let us know what you’ve got brewing. Even if you don’t use our photography services, we enjoy hearing a great entrepreneurial story and may even in cash on your offerings. And, who knows, even if you’re in Minneapolis, we might pop by one day.
