Mirror Photobooths to Elevate your Next Event
Here comes the bride… and then here she comes again 2.5-3 hours later. Between the “you may kiss the bride” and the wedding party dancing into the reception, what are the guests to do with themselves? Oh sure, they can grab a drink or two or ...., they can get a bite to eat, catch up with their third cousin on their dad’s side or maybe, just maybe, the bride decided a little memento and a whole lotta fun should be had by all.
Hmmmm. Now I am liking the way this is starting to play out. Give your guests the gift that keeps on giving. One that will never be thrown out no matter how many times you move. When my son Jayem (John Michael to those of you who know us) and I attended our cousin Colton’s wedding, there was an interactive photobooth that was so much fun we kept going back. We were able to instantly share our good times via social media, we received prints, which hang on my husband’s office wall, and we printed one out for the bride and groom’s album and scribbled a little note. Everybody wins, and it kept us entertained while we waited for some celebrating to start popping.
This mirror booth was so much fun, my son and I decided we needed to create an extension under Photography by Misty. What had I not been thinking all these years as a professional photographer? This Wichita-based company opened our eyes by bringing an added joy to our already delightful evening.
Of course, we have had the event-photography-with-photobooth experience before, but this time it was different. It was like a giant i-phone, we could get our entire outfits in the photos and the people working the booth were a lot of fun.
Well, here we are almost a year later, and Elevate Events has been born. The timing maybe isn’t so great. Or is it? No, there aren’t many Dallas weddings (or any weddings for that matter) happening right now, Plano-based corporations aren’t exactly having national sales meetings during COVID, and graduation parties didn’t explode with a lot of pizzazz (if they even happened at all). However, we at Photography by Misty and Elevate Events always try to see the bright in the night.
When the gates of celebrations open, we’ll be more than ready. We’ve been skipping around town spreading good cheer. And, although Photography by Misty doesn’t cater to celebrations where they say “I do,” Elevate Events is all about taking that reception to a whole nuther level.
And, we have teamed up with a trusted wedding photographer and wedding videographer. It’s a trifecta - interactive photography, still photography and a video to watch on each anniversary. I spent as lot of time during COVID finding the perfect wedding photographer. Jennifer Crenshaw is her name, and documenting brides on their big day is her game. And how’d you like your wedding to replicate a Hollywood short film? Yes, please. Meet our man Bill Ferderer. I just love his style, and he doesn’t just work the day and produce great results - he actually enjoys the day. It might not seem important that a photographer or videographer enjoys the celebration, but I guarantee it’s obvious in the results.
I know we talked a lot about weddings here, but, honestly, whether you’re having a corporate events or a backyard shindig, a photobooth rental is the way to go.
