Daily Favs
Last summer I was checking into the Gaylord Baltimore, and the smell of a freshly bathed baby captivated me. Was it the hotel itself? Was it someone close by? Alas, I could stand the secret no longer. I asked aloud to no one in particular, “What is that fantastic smell?”
The customer service rep said, “Oh, that’s me.” I adore that fresh smell so much, I once called Johnson & Johnson (now a client of ours), asking them to create a body spray which smelled like their wipes. My new friend C told me it was created by a local entrepreneur, who had captured the attention of Hollywood.
Immediately upon settling into my room, I jumped on line to order Perfume Chick’s. baby powder hand-whipped shea butter. With this gem-of-a-product, I moisturize and apply a very long-lasting scent that trumps any perfume.
My other daily product staples are Peppermint 5 Gum and my Ray-Ban sunglasses.
As a professional photographer, fresh breath is a must. Our team gets up close and personal with our clients. The last thing we need is coffee breath. The fresh flavor, softness of 5 also gets me though some really tough workouts and those times in between meals. 5-Gum emergency packs (along with lip balm) can be found in my laptop bag, my go-everywhere-with-me bag, the studio, in every team members bag, my husband’s truck and in my car.
If only I were a celebrity… I might be able to earn back my 5-Gum spend.
Then there’s my Ray-Bans, pair #4, I believe. I left pair #1 in a hotel room - the cleaning staff hit the lottery that day! Not sure what happened to pair #2. I backed over pair #3 with my car. Fortunately, I used my medical debit card (a great way to get a nice pair of sun-blockers) @ Lone Star Vision. They replaced those beauties for $Free.99 (apparently, there’s not an idiot clause in their 1-year guarantee).
One would think I’d go cheap as careless as I am. My excuse is, as a fair-complected blue-eyed blonde, my eyes can be easily damaged by the sun’s rays. MY new RB 3690s are not only Polarized but have Chromance technology as well. Not sure what all that means. I just know these Italian-made puppies help me see with my eyes wide open and protect my eyes, which I count on to last me a lifetime.
What are the daily products you cannot images living without?
