For five years now, my clients and I have been creating beautiful bluebonnet portraits at a little bed and breakfast called Winding Ridge B&B. Even the weekends away when it rained all Friday and Saturday night, the weather still cooperated during those magic photographic hours. That is until this year . . .
However, just before the storms blew in Saturday morn, the birds sang so beautifully and loud they awoke me from a great night’s sleep in the country. Instead of being bothered by ruining the opportunity to get a couple more hours of sleep, it was a sweet reminder that it was going to be a fantastic day, regardless of the cold, the wind and the rain. And I decided at that moment to be thankful for all the previous perfect-weathered weekends in Ennis.
Even with a chilly wet Saturday, we still created fabulous family portraits, children’s images on the porch, a business headshot, entertained long-time clients, my Collin College students and even attended the Bluebonnet Festival. Thank you to My Feathered Friends for the reminder to be thankful.
